30th Annual Piney Hills Classic MTB Festival

Mountain Bike Festival

We are looking forward to hosting another great race weekend. Please take the time to review the below details for the weekend. Also, this week is when we give numbers to the park and our food truck vendor. Help us out, if you plan on racing, go ahead, and register ASAP so that they can bring adequate staff and food to make sure they have enough for everyone!

A few notes & reminders:

  1. Race Day Registration: To simplify our day of operations, we have decided to extend our online registration to Saturday, September 18th. Online registration will close at 2pm. Participants will be able to register at www.bikereg.com/pineyhillsclassic. We will not have race day registration on Sunday, September 18th. Please make sure your friends that are interested in racing are aware!
  2. Online event waiver signature: USA Cycling moved to an electronic waiver signature format in BikeReg. There is no longer a need for the participant to touch a pen & paper. This new process speeds up the racer check-in process.
  3. Kids/Junior Races: All U10 & U12 Category race entries are FREE* and U14 & U18 Category entries are $15! *All racers must have a 2022 USA Cycling Annual License or Day License to participate. All Kids/Junior Races will be participating in the first Junior Regional MTB Championship. The winners for each age based category will receive a champions jersey during our award ceremony.
  4. Number plate/race number pickup: Number plate/race number pickup is scheduled on Saturday, September 17th from 1pm- 4pm and on race day, Sunday, September 18th starting at 7am. We will schedule this so that only one participant picks up their number plate at a time. If you are using your TMBRA Race plate, you still need to check in with our team and verify your race plate number.
  5. Event Start: In the past we have had a wave start where all participants in each category start at once under the grid start line (8 riders per line). We are moving to a motocross style start in which all riders in the same age/category will start in a 100 feet-long line, they will ride along a straight open field and will have ~800 meters before the first turn.
  6. Schedule: Click on the following link access the details for all tentative start times by categories.
  7. Neutral Feed Zones: For the Cat 1 race, we will have tables for racers to place their personal water bottles and we will provide disposable, unopened water bottles and a water cooler that has been retrofitted with a touch-less spout and pedal so racers can refill their water.
  8. Live Music & Food Truck: On Saturday, September 17th starting at 6pm will will have live music, food truck during our awards for each Category 3 race including the juniors.
  9. Bike Games for all! We are super excited to announce as part of our weekend mountain bike festival we will host a longest wheelie, Bunnyhop, and foot down competition. All three will be facilitated by our good friends at blue bikes. These event will take place on Saturday, September 17th after our award ceremony, ~6:30pm. Come join us and show off your skills. The winner for Each event where we see some cool prizes. No registration required for any of these three events.
